The federal assault on "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" is hitting Pittsburgh psychology. A slew of confusing and intrusive regulations have resulted in the shutting of training opportunities, research programs, and funding for students and faculty alike.

GPPA board member and Point Park University faculty member, Rachel Battaglia, will review some of the most important regulations in play, and discuss the real impact this is already having on psychology training. The legal implications of the regulations will be reviewed, as well as the landscape of responses. Significant time will be provided for participants to discuss the impact on the Assault on DEI in their work, and how everyone is dealing with the new political environment.

Zoom link will be sent to registrants closer to the event date.

We psychologists dedicate our lives to supporting others through their struggles. We mustn’t neglect our own well-being in the process! The demands of the profession can be overwhelming, leading to burnout, compassion fatigue, and diminished effectiveness in our work. This interactive workshop provides practical self-care tools and strategies for cultivating resilience, self-compassion, and mindfulness in our personal and professional lives.

This will all be done in a private room in the gorgeous Monterey Bay Restaurant overlooking the Point, and with great food from the restaurant.

This is a Membership Renewal Event.  This is only for members, and their plusses.  Please become a member in  our new membership platform.
