A 3-hour professional development training designed for mental health professionals seeking to integrate somatic techniques within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and systemic frameworks. This training explores the powerful influence of diverse belief systems—cultural, spiritual, and familial—on the nervous system, thought patterns, and body-based responses. Through a lens of cultural humility and clinical sensitivity, participants will examine how beliefs shape somatic expressions of distress and healing. Attendees will gain practical tools to ethically and effectively apply somatic interventions alongside CBT strategies, with a focus on nervous system regulation. The training includes real-world case examples, interactive exercises, and reflection to support therapists in applying this integrated approach across diverse populations. Participants will leave with a somatic integration toolkit and a deeper understanding of how to honor belief systems while supporting transformation and healing.
